Agnes Kaiser Woike, 81, wife of 63 years to Reynolds William Woike, of Cromwell, died on Monday, (July 31, 2006) at her home. Born in Middletown she was the daughter of the late Jacob M. and Florence (Proudman) Kaiser and lived in Cromwell all of her life.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Cromwell, Deaconess and a member of the Women's Federation; worked for several years in the Cromwell High School cafeteria; and Past Master of the Westfield Grange.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert W. Woike and his wife, Joyce of Cromwell, Mark R. Woike and his wife, Rachelle of Middletown, and Scott M. Woike and his wife, Lynn of Cromwell; two daughters, Karon Scionti and her husband, John of Old Saybrook and Marcia McMullen and her husband, Dennis of Middletown; a brother, William J. Kaiser; two sisters, Eileen Hunt and Betty Behn all of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Dixie, Dexter, and Cleo. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Jacob M. Kaiser, Jr. and Joseph H. Kaiser.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 355 Main St., Cromwell with the Rev. Douglas G.J. VanVeldhuisen officiating. Interment will be at Miner Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell on Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Weiss Hospice Unit, c/o Dept. of Philanthropy, 55 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457 or the First Congregational Church, 355 Main St., Cromwell, CT 06416.
