Alice (Butler) Neville, 84, of Middletown, wife of the late John A. Neville, passed away on Sunday October 20, 2024. She was born in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Bernard and Alice (Farnan) Butler. Alice is survived by her sons, David Darling and his wife Joanie of Killingworth, Todd Darling and his wife Kathleen of San Fransico, CA, stepdaughter Susan Rousseau and her husband Michael of RI, stepson Robert Neville and his wife Sherri of Norwich, and several grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Neville, and daughter, Laura Darling. Alice was a beloved sixth grade science teacher at Cromwell Middle School for 35 years. In her retirement, she was a tax preparer with H&R Block. She was an educator at heart. She had a passion for science and for instilling a life-long interest in nature among her students. Alice and her late husband John would take trips all over the US and the world exploring different domestic and foreign geographies and cultures. She loved her summers at the Connecticut shore and boating on Long Island Sound. Long walks along many of Connecticut's nature reserves were among her favorite pastimes. She was a devoted "Gammie" who loved bright colored sweaters and dangly earrings. She is deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life for Alice will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 26, 2025 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell CT. To share memories or express condolences online, please visit www.biegafuneralhome.com.
