Regina W. Lee, 90, of Haddam, died March 22, 2009, at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin I. Lee, on Aug. 7, 2003. Born in Middletown, she had lived in Haddam since 1968. Mrs. Lee was an educator who taught in Connecticut schools for over 40 years. She retired from Cromwell High School in 1981, after 26 years in the English department. She was also principal of Prospect Community School and served briefly in Middlefield.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Karen Phillips; two grandsons, Peter and Rodger L. Phillips; several nieces and nephews; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Sandra Lynch. She was predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Cecil (Flora) Kieft of Middletown and a brother, Henry J. Gromko of Dennis, Mass.
There will be a funeral service Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at 1 p.m., at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours.
