Jonathan Ribera
1981 - 2024

Jonathan Paul Ribera passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2024. Jon was born on July 23, 1981. He lived with his husband Sean in Middletown, CT. Jon loved chilling on his deck with Sean, his family, friends and their two dogs GiGi Rae and Jazmin. Holidays always made him happy with Christmas being his absolute favorite. He loved music and had quite an eclectic taste. He was a lover of sports and an avid UCONN Men’s Basketball fan of which he probably knew more about than any person should. Jon loved family and will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit and one-liners.

Jon leaves his husband Sean Ribera, his parents Mark and Cathy Ribera, his sister Melanie Merritt, her husband Mark, his brother Mark Ribera and his wife Amanda. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, his in-laws Ben and Lois Tortora and his best friend for many years Trisha Cubeta. There will be a church service at St. John Church, 5 St. Johns Court Cromwell, CT on October 5, 2024 at 11:30 am with a celebration of life to immediately follow at The Elks lodge 771, 44 Maynard St. Middletown, CT. Jon’s wishes were to have people socialize and share happy stories about time spent with him in the event of his passing. The attire for both the Church Service and the celebration is anything sports related (UCONN preferred)

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Jonathan Ribera memorial fund C/O Sean Ribera 202 Cambridge Commons, Middletown, CT 06457. Donations will be distributed to charities that were important to Jon.
