Deanna M. Ruffino
1975 - 2025
Deanna M. Ruffino of Cromwell, CT, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 50. Born February 1, 1975, in Middletown CT to Bonnie-Jean Roberts and Richard F. Ruffino, she is survived by her daughter, Nicolina Diaz del Valle, her father Richard F. Ruffino, her sister Bonita A. Mesick, nephew Jared Hurd and niece Danielle Mesick. She also leaves behind her fiancé Bernard Buba and extended family, including many more nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Bonnie-Jean Roberts, grandparents, Dominic Ruffino and Helen (Milo) Ruffino, Franis Roberts and Marjorie (Lord) Roberts.
Deanna grew up in Cromwell CT and graduated from Cromwell High School. From an early age she excelled academically and was involved in many extracurricular activities. She continued her education at Middlesex Community College and attained her bachelor's degree in women's studies with a minor in religion, from Trinity College. She was dedicated to her career and shined in whatever position she held from Editor to Office Manager. She was a vibrant soul with a heart full of music, poetry, and creativity.
Deanna lived her life with an open heart and a deep passion for her beliefs and the things that brought her joy, among them, she was an avid feminist and activist, she loved music, crafting, concerts and spending time with her daughter. Deanna's spirit, infectious smile, laughter and the quiet strength of her presence will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 31st from 2-4 PM at Brooklawn Funeral Home in Rocky Hill, CT.
