1954 - 2021
Kenneth E. Anderson, 67, passed away on June 14, 2021 at Apple Rehab in Cromwell, CT after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 30, 1954 in Middletown, CT to the late Ruth Evelyn (Anderson) and Eric L. Anderson of Cromwell, CT.
Ken lived in Cromwell most of his life with the exception of the last six years where he lived at Stonycrest Towers in Middletown, CT where he enjoyed lots of activities and made many very nice friends. Ken attended Cromwell High School and graduated in 1972. One very special part of his high school years was traveling along with the baseball team and helping with the equipment. Ken also developed a love for walking for exercise and made sure to get a long one in when the weather was nice.
Ken was a very special son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and uncle to his loving family and always looked forward to getting together for any occasion where he could catch up on what everyone was doing in their lives. Ken was happiest enjoying a homemade meal, a glass of sweet iced tea, and watching UConn basketball or the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his sister, Lisa (Anderson) Coughlin (and her husband Ted) of Portland; his brother, Todd (and his wife Tammy (Stone)) of Higganum; his nephews, Tommy Coughlin, Matthew Anderson; and his nieces, Kate Coughlin Zavickas and Meghan Anderson.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, June 21st at 10:30am at Rose Hill Memorial Funeral Home in Rocky Hill, CT.
