Jane Lord Laczak
1955 - 2024
Jane K. Laczak, 69, of Cleveland, formerly of Greene, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at her home with her loving husband at her side under the care of Hospice.
She was born on June 21, 1955, in Trenton, NJ, the son of Edward and Hilda (Stamp) Lord. She was 1973 graduate of Cromwell High School in Cromwell, CT. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Capella University.
On April 25, 1981, Jane was united in marriage to Robert P. Laczak in Gillette’s Castle in Hadlyme, CT.
Jane was employed as a business development representative for Raymond Corporation in Greene, NY, for twenty-two years, retiring in 2017.
Jane was an equestrian, enjoying trail riding. She was an avid homemade card maker making many cards for family and friends. Her favorite saying was, “I play with paper.”
Surviving besides her loving husband of forty-three years, Bob; are a son, Josh Laczak, of Lansing, NY; two grandchildren, Donovan R. Niedzwiecki and Kiehl Niedzwiecki, both of Clay; a sister-in-law, Karen Lord, of PA; a nephew, Paul Koch, of MA; and a niece, Michele Earle, of MA. Jane was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Niedzwiecki; a brother, Brad Lord; and a sister, Sue Machon.
A Celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a future date. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY, 13413.
