Mary Ellen (Williamson) Mendes, of Plainville, passed away peacefully August 7, 2024, at UCONN Medical Center, Farmington. She was the beloved wife of John Mendes of Plainville, loving mother of John Henry Mendes and proud grandmother of Charlotte Rose Mendes, both of Amston. She was the daughter of the late Herbert H. Williamson and Marguerite M. (Porter) Williamson of Cromwell. She is survived by her sister Eleanor (Williamson) Rogers of Middletown and her brother Herbert H. Williamson, Jr. of Marlborough.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her memory at St. Brigid Church, 1083 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
