John Cordone Jr.
1950 - 2023

John Joseph Cordone Jr., 72, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023 following a stroke and a long battle towards recovery.

John was born on December 30, 1950 to John Cordone Sr. and Yolanda Crispino Cordone at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut. After Graduating from Xavier High School in 1968, he went on to study English at Castleton University and went on to enjoy a successful and rewarding career in advertising and marketing before creating his award-winning advertising agency he co-owned for over thirty years.

In 1974 John met the love of his life, Marie; the two would get married in 1976. They have two children, Jennie and John III.

John was a force of nature devoted to nurturing and protecting the happiness of his family. He worked unfailingly to give them the life he felt they deserved. Family meant everything to John. To the majority of the world he showed his stoic and formidable demeanor, his humble sense of wisdom and strength was always evident. To Marie, Jennie and Johnny, he was never short for words of encouragement, advice or a hug, whatever was needed. His family has been blessed to have known and felt the unending pride and love he had for them

John was also passionate about music and his songs. His guitar and vocals could often be heard throughout the house. Throughout his life John taught himself everything from stained glass making and woodwork to computer programming. If he wanted to create something or solve a problem and didn't know how he researched and learned.

These skills and his tenacity helped him with his business, but also provided him with new challenges and opportunities to grow.

John was predeceased by his mother and father, Yolanda and John Sr. and is survived by his sisters Carol Malinoski and Joanne Chomick as well as his wife and children.

The family requests donations in lieu of flowers and gifts. Donations can be made to The American Diabetes Association.
