Patricia MacNeal
1948 - 2017
Patricia (Pat) Rose MacNeal, 69 of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
Born in Hartford, CT on March 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond and Katherine Rose (Congdon) MacNeal. She is survived by her her son, Eric Krauth of Philadelphia, PA, brother, Kevin and sister-in-law, Rose MacNeal of New Bern, niece Natalie MacNeal and her husband Joshua of Portland, CT, her loving cousin, Deborah Bogoslosfki of Windsor Locks, CT and several other cousins.
Pat and her family moved to Middletown, CT when she was 3 years old and attended local schools. When she was a Junior in High School, her family moved to Cromwell, CT where she graduated from Cromwell High School.
She received a BS in Elementary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University and was a second grade teacher for many years. She later changed careers and worked as an office Administrator for Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT in their X-ray Department and later as an Office Manager at the International Association of Sheet Metal Workers Union in Rocky Hill, CT where she retired from in 2010 and moved to New Bern to be a caregiver for her father after her mother’s passing.
For the past 7 years, Pat lived in Fairfield Harbour. She was a volunteer with the Fairfield Harbour Hospital Auxiliary Group. Pat was a communicant of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Bern.
There are no calling hours. Friends are welcome to attend a mass celebrating her life to be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Rd, New Bern, NC on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
