Sharon (Gorczyca) Buckman, 71, of Middletown, formerly of East Hampton for 30 years, died Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital. She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Sepiol) Gorczyca.
Sharon was an art consultant and owner of Personal Preference in East Hampton. She was also very active with Middletown Youth Mini Cycle Club. She loved to travel and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved going to visit the coast of Maine and the Nubble Light Lighthouse. Sharon was a compassionate person who showed that with every person or animal in her life. Her smile and spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her son, Richard C. Buckman and his wife Christine of Monson, MA and her brother, Ted Gorczyca of Florida. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with a funeral service following at 3 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown, CT 06457.
