Donald Byrnes
1945 - 2021




Donald Francis Byrnes, 76, formerly of Bogota, NJ, peacefully left us on November 7, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born March 2, 1945 in Middletown, CT, to the late Henry & Maybelle Byrnes, he grew up in Cromwell, CT. As a teenager, he worked in a bowling alley as a pin setter and came in 2nd in a National Bowling Competition in Washington DC. He later achieved his goal of bowling a Perfect (300) game!

He graduated Georgetown University and became a Certified Public Accountant. In 1968, he was drafted into the US Army where he served for 2 years, then settled in Bogota, NJ.

Donald is predeceased by his sister Margaret Rosano.

He leaves behind his daughters Jamie Byrnes and fiancé Robert Hascup and 6 grandcats, Allison Schoonhen and husband Dan, grandsons, Tommy and Andy Schoonhen, his sister Ellen LaPointe and husband Armand of Durham, CT., and 14 nieces and nephews.
