Robert "Bob" Begansky

Robert "Bob" Anthony Begansky, 73, of Willington, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Hartford on February 19, 1943, son of the late Constantine and Josephine (Marshall) Begansky, he was raised in Hartford and Cromwell and was a graduate of Cromwell High School. After high school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until his honorable discharge. A retiree of The Travelers Insurance Company, Bob worked as a hardware engineer for over 40 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycles and driving his sports cars, especially his Porsche.
He leaves his wife, Dee Begansky of Willington; two sons, Charles Begansky of Fort Smith, AR and Sean Irwin and his wife Lisa of Stafford; two daughters, Renee Matlock and her husband Chris of Bangor, PA and Sheri Joslyn and her husband Chris of East Haddam; a brother, Ronald J. Begansky and his wife Wendy of Simsbury; seven grandchildren, Harley Houck, Julia and Meigan Joslyn, and Allison, Isabella, Austin, and Andrew Irwin.
