Rosemary "Rosie" Swift Landmesser
1942 - 2005


Rosemary "Rosie" Gawitt Landmesser, 63, of Annapolis and previously of Severna Park, died April 7 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of complications of lupus and pneumonia.

Mrs. Landmesser was born March 26, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., and graduated from Cromwell High School in Connecticut in 1960. She was certified as an X-ray technologist from New Britain General Hospital in New Britain, Conn.

She worked in the health care industry at various sites in Maryland before her illness.

She was divorced in 1991 from Michael Gawitt. In 1992 she married Dr. Walter E. Landmesser Jr.

Also surviving are two sons, Dan and Scott Gawitt of Severna Park; one sister, Elaine Shea of Windsor Locks, Conn.; and six grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Joseph Swift, Pat Marseglia and Marion Franklin.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.
