Lawrence S. Rec, 55, of Manchester, husband of Linda S. (Panciera) Rec, died suddenly Friday (April 4, 1997) at his home. He was born Feb. 22, 1942 in Holyoke, MA, and had been a resident of Cromwell for many years before moving to Manchester over 20 years ago.

Mr. Rec. was employed as a Field Engineer with United Technologies Corp. Fuel Cells Division for 35 years. He attended Center Congregational Church in Manchester, had been active with the Cub Scouts, and was known as an avid model car builder.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Stanley and Toni Rec of Cromwell; two sons, Jonathan C.D. Rec, and Christopher J.L. Rec, both of Manchester; his sister, Cynthia Rec of Plainville; and his mother-in-law, Sophia Panciera of Manchester.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 11 a.m., at Center Congregational Church, 11 Center St., Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
