Jeffrey Moore
1942 - 2012


Jeffrey Thomas Moore, 69, of Burlington, husband of Jeanne (Prystash) Moore died Sunday (February 19, 2012) at his home. Jeffrey was born December 11, 1942 in Norwich, CT. He was the son of the late Dr. Simon H. Moore and Arline (Casmaler) Moore.

He has been a resident of Burlington for the past 34 years. Jeff served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement he worked as a staff representative/negotiator for the Connecticut Council 4/AFSCME. He was a member of the Burlington Historical Society, the American Motorcycle Club and also a member of the Governor's Foot Guard. Jeff was an avid collector and dealer of antique toys.

Beside his wife he is survived by his sister, Susan Moore of South Hadley, MA; his sister-in-law, Tammy Prystash of Terryville; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Joan Markovich of Terryville; his nieces & nephews, Stan and Angela Valencis of Farmington, Kirk Valencis of Bristol, Tanya & Bryan Shea of Bristol, Natasha and Scott Mendela of Terryville, Timothy Markovich of Terryville; his great nieces and great nephews, Michael, Isaiah, Gianna Valencis, Thomas Valencis, Madison and Ben Shea, Nicholas, Lauren and Tyler Mendela.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (February 23, 2012) 10 a.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. Burial will be in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
