Carol A. (Malone) Malinosky, 82, of Newington, CT was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond W. Malinosky for 51 years. Carol was born December 21, 1942, in Meriden, CT and grew up in Middletown and later Cromwell. She has resided in Newington, CT since 1983. Carol graduated from Cromwell High School in 1960 and attended the Hartt School of Music. She retired as a Reception Supervisor from Avery Heights in 2014. Carol played piano and gave piano and dance lessons from her home.
Carol’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren along with her great nieces and nephews. Carol enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events, dancing with her husband, Broadway shows, local musicals, trips to the casino, and get-togethers with her friends and family. Carol had a passion for working with and nurturing the elderly and those with special needs. While she was a member of the Durham Women’s Club, she developed, coordinated and implemented a talent show to benefit children with special needs. Carol’s empathy, generosity, and comforting personality was endeared by those whose paths she crossed throughout her life. She had battled and had been a breast cancer survivor since 2015.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; her father, Nestor Malone, who died in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II; her mother, Yolanda Crispino Cordone; stepfather, John J. Cordone, Sr. and brother John J. Cordone, Jr.
Carol leaves behind two sons: Raymond W. Malinosky Jr and partner, Tricia Hadden, of Waterbury and Todd D. Malinosky of Newington, and her daughter Carol Michaud of Newington; her three beloved grandchildren: Dr. Hannah Malinosky of Dallas TX, Alexandra Bandle of Plainville, CT and Kathryn Malinosky of Bridgeport, CT. She also leaves behind her sister Joanne Cordone Chomick and husband Robert of Manchester, CT and sister-in-law Marie Cordone of Middletown, her cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill on Thursday January 30th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow. Burial will be private.
