Paul V. Certo Sr., 55, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Mary (Martin) Certo, died suddenly Sunday (Feb. 16, 1997) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, son of Mary (Branciforte) Certo of Cromwell and the late Vincent S. Certo, and had lived in Wethersfield for 32 years. He was a member of First Church of Christ Congregational, a member of Hospitality Lodge #128 AF & AM, Wethersfield, and was a Past Patron of O.E.S. Wethersfield Chapter #97.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Paul V. Certo, Jr. and his special friend, Rose M. Burns of Coventry; a daughter and son-in-law, Salvatore R. and Phyliss Certo of Middletown; his two precious grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas; his aunt, Santina C. Vallera of Glastonbury; his brother-in-law, John F. Martin of Wethersfield; and a niece, Lorayne Certo.
The funeral will be Wednesday (Feb. 19), 1 p.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield, with the Rev. Van. M. Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. Friends may call at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service, Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
