Eleanor Williamson Rogers

Eleanor (Ellie) M. Rogers, 84, passed away peacefully December 22, 2025, at Masonic Home in Wallingford, CT. Ellie is the daughter of Herbert H. Williamson and Marguerite M. (Porter) Williamson of Cromwell, CT. She is survived by her brother Herbert H. Williamson, Jr. of Marlborough, CT. She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Richard (Dick) M. Rogers of Middletown, CT and her sister Mary Ellen (Williamson) Mendes of Plainville, CT. Besides her brother, she is survived by brother-in- law, Charles A. Rogers of Wallingford and brother-in-law John Mendes of Plainville, CT and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins, most especially her nephews, Charles A. "Chuck" Rogers (Suzanne) of Colchester and Steven T. Rogers (Sharon) of Eastham, MA, and her niece, Carolyn Rogers (Mary Deshon) of Wellfleet, MA.
Ellie and Dick enjoyed the outdoors and spent many of their summers fishing and hunting in Maine. They were both members of the Hartford Moose Club and worked tirelessly with all the club's charities. Ellie and Dick both worked for and retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company in management positions.
The family will receive friends and family on January 3, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm Street Rocky Hill, CT 06067 followed by a Celebration of Life. Burial will be private on Monday, January 5th in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
