Stanley J. Kalish

Stanley J., Kalish, 99, of Cromwell, beloved husband of the late Lucille (Southmayd) Kalish, passed away surrounded by family in the home he grew up in. He was born in Middletown, son of the late Stanley B. and Emma (Franklin) Kalish.

Stanley retired from A.N. Pierson as a lead grower in charge of Rose, Lily, Mum and Pointsetta production for 60 years. He founded a new flower form of the first white spider Fuji Mefo mum in the early sixties. He enjoyed gardening, he built a greenhouse off his garage. Vacationing in Ogunquit and Kennebunkport Maine. Watching cowboy movies and his favorite teams Boston Red Sox, New York Giants and UCONN Huskies.

Stanley is survived by his daughters, Janet Szymanski and her husband John of Deep River, Paula Wright and her husband Kenneth of Cromwell. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille and brother Robert Kalish.
