Brian Janicke, 29, of Colorado and formerly of Cromwell, passed away on Monday, September 8th, in Colorado. Brian is survived by his mother, Eileen Janicke of CO; his father, Kevin Janicke and his wife, Rosemary Malatesta of Cromwell; two sisters, Rachel Janicke and her children, Ava and Amelia of CO, and Melanie Lane and her husband, Joseph and their children, Josh and Andrew of TX; three aunts, Jeannine Sweet of NC, Kathleen Mazzotta of CO, and Patricia Hill of CT; and an uncle, Michael Smithwick of CT.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21st, at 2:00 pm at Holy Apostle College & Seminary Chapel, 33 Prospect Hill Road, Cromwell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
