Joseph Matthew Skarzynski, 33, of South Glastonbury, beloved son of Joseph and Carol "Mama"(Rini) Skarzynski of Rocky Hill, passed on from this life unexpectedly, Thursday (May 8, 2014). Born in Hartford, April 6, 1981, "JoJo," as he was affectionately called by many, graduated from Cromwell High School in 1999. He had many friends and family members who he was close to, and he loved to shoot pool and play cards, which he did very well. That led him to his employment at Foxwoods Casino, where he was a well-respected and seasoned dealer for the last 12 years. Outgoing and intelligent, he was a force to be reckoned with, especially when playing Jeopardy. In addition to his loving parents, JoJo leaves his dear love, Margo Zajac, with whom he resided in South Glastonbury; his proud grandmother, Carmel Skarzynski of Enfield; his loving aunts, Barbara Corcoran of Cromwell and Donna Rini-Otake of Portland; his uncle, Matthew Rini, Jr. of Southington, as well as many cousins, extended family members, co-workers and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Matthew Rini, Sr., Alice Mainville and Joseph J. Skarzynski, Sr. and his beloved uncle, Steve Skarzynski. Calling hours will be Tuesday (May 13) from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
