Stephen Hickey, 32, of Plaza Dr., Middletown, died Monday, (September 20, 2004) as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Middletown, the son of Frederick and Elizabeth (Adamczyk) Hickey of Cromwell. Stephen was a 1990 graduate of Cromwell High School and attended the New England Technical Institute, receiving a degree in refrigeration and air conditioning. He was currently employed with Southern Connecticut State University in the maintenance department.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Brian and Kevin Hickey, both of Cromwell; his sister, Ann Hickey of Newington; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Hickey of Middletown; his maternal grandmother, Violet (Deren) Dunn of Middletown; his aunts and uncles, Barbara and Bill Hawkins of Middletown and Janet and Richard Newell of Wethersfield; and many cousins.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church, S. Main St., Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
