1964 - 2018
Sarkisian, Peter W., 54, of Centreville, MD, (formerly of Cromwell, CT) passed away peacefully early Tuesday, November 20th, at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD surrounded by his loving family. He lived with an endless love for his family, a lust for fishing and the outdoors, and a sense of humor that could crack even the petulant into laughter.
Pete was born on May 14, 1964 in New Britain, CT to his beloved parents, the late Janie and Peter Sarkisian. Always one to spend time with his family, he stayed close to his mother to support her after his father's untimely passing.
Peter graduated from Cromwell High and Porter and Chester Institute. He worked in the cable industry for over 30 years. Pete started after High School working for Comcast in the warehouse while continuing his education in Engineering, and ending his career as Area Director of Technical Operations with Antietam Broadband, Hagerstown, MD. He always loved his job and has gained many close relationships working in such an all-encompassing industry.
Peter, or lovingly called, "Petey," is survived by his best friend, soulmate, and cherished wife, Paula Visconti Sarkisian of Centreville, MD. (formerly of Cromwell, CT); his brother, Mark Sarkisian and wife Cathy of San Anselmo, CA. He loved his family endlessly and was so proud of his children and all their accomplishments. He leaves his daughters, Jessica Sarkisian of Clinton, CT., Alesia Doughty and her fiancé Vinnie Lagasse of Willington, CT.; his son Sam Sarkisian of Boston, MA. There were so many who loved him and were loved by him. His nieces and nephews Alexandra, Ellen, and Vicky Sarkisian; Nicole and Tony LaTerra, Stacy and Josh Scofield, David and Amanda Visconti, Shannon and Steve Macduff, and Paul King. His best friend and fishing buddy Scott Stenroos, his lifelong friend Paul Rawlinitis; his brother-in-law David Visconti and wife Shari; his sister-in-law Debbie King and husband Billy; many great nieces and nephews; as well as many others whose lives were touched by him. Pete is also survived by his Aunt Bev and Uncle Ron Battistone; his cousins Joy, Bob, and Tony Paventi; George, Rob, and Mari Yerger.
He was predeceased by his Aunt Carol Paventi, his cousins Dominic Paventi, Ronnie and Gary Battistone.
His family will hold a memorial celebration in CT in the Spring. More information will be available as the date gets closer.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember, and honor Pete may choose to make a donation in his name to a pet rescue of their choice. Pete loved to spend his free time volunteering at Animal Rescue Foundation walking and taking care of rescued dogs, helping to get them socialized and ready for adoption.
