Robert P. Finley, 46, a resident of Smith Road in Readsboro, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2010
at his home. Robert was born in Hartford, Conn., on December 23, 1963 the son of James T. Finley, III and Donna Tetro.
Robert received his education in Hartford schools. Robert was a carpenter and was a member of
Carpenters Local 43 in Hartford, Conn., and Local 108 in Pittsfield, Mass. Robert loved riding snowmobiles and was a member of the Florida Mountain Snowmobile Club. He was very passionate about fishing, enjoyed hunting, collecting antiques, especially pedal cars and loved going antiquing. Robert enjoyed refurbishing trucks and was a good car mechanic.
Robert is survived by his mother Donna Finley of Readsboro, his sister Paige Malloy of Dalton, Mass.,
his nephew, PVT Kevin Malloy of the United states Army serving in Iraq, his aunts Bonnie Tetro of Lebanon, Conn., Sharon Cardinal and her husband William of South Newfane, Vt., Diane Groper of Tariffville, Conn., Deborah Tetro and her partner Stephen Serafini of Torrington, Conn., Mary Helen Murphy of Portland, Oregon, Carol Ann Daley of Bend, Oregon and June Taylor of Cromwell, Conn., his uncle Robert Groper of Granby, Conn., his cousins Allan Bassell of Southington, Conn., Donald Bassell of Lebanon, Conn., Timothy Bassell of Plainville, Connecticut, Matthew Cardinal of Jewett City, Conn. and Damion Groper of White House, Texas and the love of his life, his dog Mo-Mo.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A mass of Christian death and burial will be celebrated Tuesday December 14,
2010 at 11 a.m. at St Joachim's Catholic Church in Readsboro. Interment will follow in South Hill Cemetery in Readsboro. Visiting hours will be held Monday evening December 13, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Covey & Allen Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, Vermont when the family is in attendance.
