Wendi (Clark) Vining of Cromwell, died peacefully on Sunday, (February 10, 2013) at the Hospice Unit of Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, after a 16 month battle with cancer.

Born May 7, 1962 in Boston, MA, Wendi grew up in Sharon & Norwell, MA into her teen years & spent the rest of her life in CT. Beloved wife of Robert Vining, of Willimantic, she was the mother of Natasha & Timothy Clark, and Joseph Kelsey; grandmother of Tyler & Tianna Murby and Mya Clark; daughter of Stephen & Virginia Clark of Hingham, MA and sister of Bradford W. Clark of Fairbanks, AK. Wendi was active for many years in AA & NA & founded & operated New Freedom Recovery Housing in Middletown & Newington, Wendi attended programs at Connecticut Valley Hospital & Rushford Behavioral Services & credits them with her own recovery.

Visitation will be at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service & interment in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendi's name may be made to the Hospice Unit of Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT.
