Douglas Dunham
1960 - 2012


Douglas John Dunham, 51, formally of Cromwell, loving husband of Donna DiBella Dunham, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on May 7. A devoted husband, father, son and brother, besides his wife, he leaves his daughters Samantha, Alexa and Kahley and his granddaughter Ava Marie He also leaves his mother Virginia (Bonafonte) Dunham, of Cromwell, brother Walter Dunham Jr. and his wife, Lorie, of Wolcott, sisters, Jeanette Singarella and her husband, Michael, of Rocky Hill, Elizabeth Collura and her husband, Anthony, of Cromwell, and many close neices, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Dunham Sr.

Doug was an excellent craftsman and enjoyed working with wood. He loved taking walks on the beach with his wife and devoted dog Kahluah. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, the birds and spending time outside. He was an avid New York Giants and Nascar fan. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 24 for 30 years, retiring in 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Cromwell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Francis Cancer Center, Woodland Street, Hartford,CT. For online words of sympathy please visit brooklawnfuneralhome.com.
