Kathleen Labbe Ogren
1953 - 2009


Kathleen (Labbe) Ogren, 56, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Stephen G. Ogren, entered eternal peace Tuesday, (August 11, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital. Kathleen was born in Hartford, February 27, 1953, daughter to Shirley (Hanson) Labbe of Southington and the late J. Dan Labbe. She grew up in Cromwell, moving to Wethersfield 20 years ago. Kathleen was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services for 27 years, retiring in July 2008. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Old Wethersfield.

Along with her husband and mother, Kathleen will be fondly remembered by her family; four brothers and their spouses, Terence and Virginia Labbe of Preston, Kerry and Theresa Labbe of Southington, Daniel and Christine Labbe of Haddam, and Gregory and Lisa Labbe of Gainesville, FL; a sister and her spouse, Deborah and Patrick Elias of Cornwall Bridge; a sister-in-law, Judith Ogren of Wethersfield; three aunts; two uncles; and fourteen nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held Saturday, August 15, at 11 a.m. in First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield, with the Reverend Michael McDowell officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Green Cemetery, Hubbard Street, Glastonbury.
