Jonathan L. Buck, 41, of 5 Allen Road, Cromwell, died Tuesday (Sept. 14) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Leighton and Peg Buck of Cromwell. Mr. Buck was a lifelong Cromwell resident, a graduate of Cromwell High School, and had attended Graham Junior College, Boston, Mass. He was a graduate of Wilcox College of Nursing, Middletown, and a veteran of the Vietnam era, serving with both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. He was employed by the Veterans Home and Hospital, Rocky Hill. Mr. Buck was a member of the United Methodist Church, Middletown, was active in the Jesus has Called Us Ministry, and was a member of Washington Lodge No. 81 AF&AM, Cromwell.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn L. Buck of East Hampton. He was predeceased by a brother, David Warner Buck.

Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 24 Old Church St., Middle-town. The Rev. Albert H. Scholten, minister, will officiate. Interment will be in East Cemetery, Cromwell. Friends may call at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell, Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Those who prefer, may make contributions, in his memory, to the Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital, 287 West St., Rocky Hill 06067.
