Judith Garafalo Glynn
1952 - 2018

Judith A. Glynn and William J. Glynn passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 after being involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Judith was born on January 14, 1952 in Hartford, CT, to Mary Jean (Raymond) Garofalo and the late Sarino Garofalo of Cromwell, CT. She attended Hartford Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an LPN before her administrative career at UCONN Health Center Pathology Department.

William was born on June 16, 1952 in Hartford, CT, to the late Ann (Sinnott) Glynn and the late William J. Glynn. He attended Central Connecticut State University and was an accountant for the State of Connecticut Health Department.

They retired together in 2009. Known to most as Judy and Bill, they were happily married for 38 years. Being married on Bill's birthday, he was happy to never worry about missing his anniversary. Bill and Judy raised their two children in Rocky Hill, residing in Westbrook after retirement. They enjoyed traveling, visiting their children, walking at Hammonasset State Beach, and spending summers with extended family at the family home in Westbrook. The perfect summer day for Bill was riding his bicycle in the morning, relaxing on the porch with a book and a cold beer, and stargazing with his telescope. Judy loved gardening, her Pilates class and church community. She took pride in crafting homemade things, and this especially helped her during her battle with breast cancer in 2014. Christmas stockings and baby quilts for new family members were much loved and anticipated and she enjoyed making prayer shawls for people in the church community. They both retained many lifelong friendships. They were dearly loved by many and will be missed by even more.

Bill and Judy are survived by their son Andrew T. Glynn and daughter-in-law Susan of Fargo, ND, and their daughter Maggie Glynn and son-in-law Daniel Richards of San Francisco, CA.

Surviving Bill are his brother and sister-in-law, Robert T. and Lynn Glynn and his sister Marysue Glynn.

Surviving Judy are her sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth J. and James Giblin, her sister and brother-in-law Katherine A. and William Russo, and her sister and brother-in-law Mary Jane and James Schriver.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service and reception for Bill and Judy on Monday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of St Andrew the Apostle, 331 Orchard Street, Rocky Hill, CT. A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Westbrook Senior Center, where Judy enjoyed volunteering (866 Boston Post Road, Westbrook, CT), or to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
