Nancy Lynn (Crooks) Piantek, 64, of Cromwell, passed away at home on February 25, 2017 from lung cancer. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Earle Stanley and Miriam Betty (Perkins) Crooks.
Nancy graduated Cromwell High School and Middlesex Community College and had been employed at Habasit America in Middletown for thirty years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 105 and a life member of the Cromwell Historical Society.
Nancy is survived by her son, Jeffrey Walton and his partner, Tracy Davis of Cromwell; three sisters, Carol Birdsey of Middletown, Judy Crooks of Cromwell and Janet Blasius and her husband, William of Charlton, MA; her aunt Lila Perkins; cousins, Craig and Barry Perkins and five nieces, three great nieces and three great nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 4 at 11:00 am in the Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West, 29 Hillside Road, Cromwell. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.
