Ann Marie DiMauro, 70 of Cromwell, CT became an Angel in heaven on Friday, December 1, 2017, with her family by her side. Ann Marie was born on December 2, 1946 in Middletown, CT to Salvatore and Mary (Dolce) D'Alfonso. She is survived by her husband John, who she shared 49 loving years of marriage. She was a lifelong resident of Cromwell.
Ann Marie was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Cromwell School Systems, and Xerox Corp. Ann Marie was a member of St John's Church, Cromwell, CT. Ann Marie is survived by her three loving sons, John and his wife Sharon, of Haddam; Michael of East Hampton; Steven and his wife Heather, of Portland. Her family was the love of her life, especially her 6 grandchildren: Jake, Luke, Michael, Andrew, Stephanie, and Rocco. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Nellie and John Marchinkoski, of Portland, CT.
Ann Marie also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and nephews. Ann Marie is now celebrating her eternal life with her mother and father; Mary and Sal and her brother Salvatore. Her mother and father-in-law Angie and Mickey. Her sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Chester Knybel. Her niece Alison Knybel and nephew Nicholas Knybel.
Ann Marie was loved by everyone. She was a gentle, loving and sincere soul. Always speaking nothing but kind words. Her home was filled with love, compassion, and joy. Her generosity was always giving with love. She did not know how to say "no" to anyone. Everyone will miss Wednesday night pasta. Some of her most unforgettable moments are the many years spent with the love of her life on the "R" Roost. They loved boating and Ann Marie was always by John's side as his first mate. They traveled to Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, and the Chesapeake Bay just to name a few. They traveled on many trips with friends and family. Most recently vacationing with the entire family in Virginia Beach, New Jersey and Maryland.
The family will be accepting family and friends on Sunday, December 10th from 4-7 p.m. at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown, CT. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11th, at 10 a.m. Mass to be held at St Francis Church, 10 Elm Street in Middletown, CT. Interment to follow in St. Sebastian's Cemetery, Middlefield, CT. At the family's request, please go directly to the church on Monday morning. Ann Marie's Pall Bearers are her three sons, John, Michael, and Steven. Her grandsons, Jake, Luke, and Michael. Her nephew, Robert Knybel and her brother-in-law John Marchinkoski. Honorary Pall Bearers are her grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrew and Rocco.
