DENNISPORT - Irene J. (Bailey) Wirth, 61, died unexpectedly Dec. 29 at her home.

She was the wife of the late Harry Wirth. Mrs. Wirth was born in Middletown, Conn., raised and educated in Cromwell, Conn., and graduated from the University of Connecticut. She was a manager for Hartford Insurance Group and Aetna Life Casualty for many years. She moved to Cape Cod to the home she summered in for more than 30 years and worked for Davenport Realty and Prudential Realty. A jazz enthusiast, she enjoyed Cape Cod jazz and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed time with her cat, Miss Cloe. Survivors include a sister, Gail K. Butler of Readfield, Maine.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church Episcopal, Route 28, Harwich Port. Memorial donations may be made to Dennis Rescue Squad, 883 Main St., West Dennis, MA 02670.
