Lois (Messina) Perruccio, of Cromwell, loving wife of John Perruccio, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Hartford Hospital and after a lengthy stay at Apple Rehab in Rocky Hill.
Born and raised in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Liberta (Cuburri) Messina.
Lois attended Middletown schools and graduated from Middletown High, class of '45. She worked at Standard Knapp and retired from Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her three sons, John (Jack) Perruccio and his wife, Joanne, Andrew Perruccio and his wife, Jill and Daniel Perruccio and his wife, Lisa; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Joey, Kayla, Jordan, Caleb, Lianne, Matthew and Benjamin; two great grandchildren, Jordan Jr. and Tayveon; her brother, David Tomasso and sister, Mary Ann Lankton.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest Messina, Salvatore Messina & Joseph Tomasso and a sister, Carmen Bartolotta.
Lois's husband and family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care that was shown by the staff at Haven Health Care and Apple Rehab.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, at 11:30 a.m. at Victory Christian Church, 191 Meriden Road (Route 66), Middlefield. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours and in lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Lois's memory to Alzheimer's Association , Connecticut Chapter, 2075 Silas Deanne Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
