Dorothy Elizabeth Linehan (nee McIntyre), 97, of Cromwell, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2022 at home with family. She was born on May 22, 1925 in Middletown, CT. After graduating from Middletown High School, she enjoyed working at Farmer & Mechanics Bank and left to have a family. Dorothy was involved in local and church women’s organizations and was very popular with many in the Cromwell community. After WWII, she married her sweetheart, Tommy in 1946 and they began a family. She was a devoted wife, mother to her five children, grandmother and great grandmother to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Cromwell for her whole life.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas F. Linehan, Sr. on December 9, 2008. She is survived by her five children: Thomas F. Linehan, Jr. (and Doreen), James A. Linehan, Kevin J. Linehan (and Deborah), Karen M. (Linehan) Bragg, and Carol A. Linehan. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Micole, Seth, Stefan, Nicholas, Brian, Melissa, Justin, Naomi and Simone; as well as her fourteen great grandchildren: Raphael, Eva, Yakira, Solomon, Kaisei, Ryusei, Thomas, Benjamin, Zoe, Connor, Finnigan, Ryder, Tanner and Cooper.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, September 8, 2022 at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell, CT 06416. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery in Portland.

Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am before the service.
